Piedmont Workforce Development Board

Purpose and Typical Duties

The Piedmont Workforce Development Board has the central role of providing leadership and direction on local strategic workforce issues, identifying local needs and developing strategies to address those needs. 

The Virginia Career Works – Piedmont Region includes the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson and the city of Charlottesville.

There are no limits on the number of terms a member may serve.

Meeting Time and Place

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of March, June, September, and December from 1:00 PM- 2:30 PM. 

Member Qualification

The Piedmont Workforce Development Board is comprised of members from both the public and private sector. Members include representatives of business, education, economic development, labor, community-based organizations, and Career Center required partners.
