Quaker Run Fire Updates

On October 25, 2023, Madison County declared a local emergency due to the Quaker Run Wildfire. On November 7, 2023 the County instituted a burn ban via Emergency Ordinance #2023-1. At the November 28, 2023 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board voted to rescind the October 25, 2023 Declaration of Emergency. Therefore, the County-wide burn ban is lifted effective immediately.


While conditions have improved the potential for wildfire spread still exists. Current conditions will lessen the chances of aggressive spread but please use caution when burning.
