Purpose and Typical Duties
The Madison County Board of Social Services oversees the Madison County Department of Social Services.
Length of Term
4 years
Term Limitations
No person may serve more than two consecutive full terms.
A member who serves two consecutive full terms shall be ineligible for reappointment until the end of an intervening two-year period dating from the expiration of the last of the two consecutive terms.
Number of Members
The Social Services Board shall consist of three or more members.
Meeting Time and Place
This Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of every other month at 8:30 AM.
Member Qualification
Members must be either a local government official or a residents of the county.
