Purpose and Typical Duties

Skyline CAP, Inc. is a non-profit community action agency designated as such by Orange, Madison, and Greene County governments to act as a catalyst for helping to reduce the effects and causes of poverty in its service areas. It’s mission is to "provide a hand up to those in need through actions that promote self sufficiency." Skyline CAP does so by providing programs and services that assist in crisis situations with emergency assistance, programs that enable individuals and families to move into self sufficiency through job counseling and budget counseling, and providing education programs such as Head Start pre-school programs in six counties; provides housing programs including emergency home repair and Rental Assistance Vouchers through HUD’s rental assistance program (formerly Section 8 rental assistance), and other services that help to move families forward.

Meetings are held the third Tuesday at 11:00 AM-12:30 PM.
