Online Records Information

The Clerk's Office of the Madison County Circuit Court offers limited access to the Land Records Management System through secured and restricted web access. Access will be available through subscription only, to be approved by the Clerk. Upon approval of your application, our office will set up a login and password for your use. The login and password will automatically terminate on the expiration date.

Each applicant must complete the SRA Application and Subscriber Agreement and send that along with the annual subscription fee of $600 to Madison County Circuit Court Clerk's Office, PO Box 220, 1 Main Street, Madison, VA 22727. Checks should be made payable to the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  Beginning July 01, 1991
• Marriage Licenses
  Beginning January 01. 1962
• Wills and Fiduciaries
  Beginning January 03, 2012
• Judgments
  Beginning January 03, 1995
• Financing Statements
  Beginning January 03, 1995

Beginning in February 2018, the deed indexes and books from 1970 thru June 30, 1991, have been scanned into the Records Management and Secure Remote Access System. These indexes and books are under Special Index Search.

Beginning April 2022, the deed indexes from 1793 thru 1969  and Deed Books 60 through 101 have been scanned into the Records Management and Secure Remote Access System. These indexes and books are under Special Index Search.

Beginning August 2019, Plat Book 27 through Plat Book 40 have been scanned and uploaded to their respective instruments. We will be adding each new plat book to the system once the book is completed.

Beginning July 1, 2023 Deed Books 1 through 59 have been scanned and into the Records Management and Secure Remote Access System.  These indexes and books are under Special Index Search.
