The Department of Facilities & Maintenance, under the management and direction of the County’s Director of Facilities, is responsible for the maintenance, repair and operations of Madison County’s public buildings, facilities and grounds. In addition to provision of general operations and maintenance services, this Department contains the following public service divisions:
Animal Control & Shelter Facility Parks & Recreation Transfer Station & Recycling
The County’s Capital Improvements Plan is a document that anticipates the County’s needs for new public buildings and facilities, major renovation of existing buildings and facilities, and identifies projects planned to be undertaken over a 5-year period. Each year the Board updates its CIP as part of the approval of its annual budget. The Director of Facilities works with the County Administrator to develop a Capital Improvements Plan, a document that is annually updated and provides a basis for establishing long-range funding priorities for the County’s budget. |
