Effective August 1, 2010 the County will begin billing for ambulance transports and related EMS services provided by the Madison Department of Emergency Medical Services. For information on this new program, please proceed to (under Departments, the Emergency Services Tab) the Emergency Medical Services page.
If your civic group or other organization would like County staff to make a presentation on the upcoming Cost Recovery Program, please contact Lewis Jenkins at 948-4813. Additionally, the County will hold two public information meetings:
MADISON COUNTY FIREHOUSE
Sunday, July 25, 2010, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday, July 27, 2010, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
At this time the Madison County Volunteer Rescue Squad will not be participating in the Cost Recovery Program. Therefore, please keep in mind that you will need to continue to support the volunteers through your donations. The services provided by the volunteers remain a valuable component of the County's emergency medical service delivery system.
